All Nippon Airways and Boeing partner up in 777 maintenance cost reduction programe

All Nippon Airways has entered a Boeing programme aimed at reducing maintenance costs and boosting the efficiency of its 777 fleet.

The programme will see Boeing analyse the carrier’s maintenance programme, examining logbooks, maintenance data, component maintenance records, and other data, says the airframer in a statement.

The objective will be to reduce maintenance costs and improve maintenances times, aimed specifically at ANA’s 777-300 aircraft and future 777-9X fleet.

Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that ANA operates 54 777s with 29 on order. In addition to 19 777-300ERs, the carrier operates seven -300s, 16 -200s, and 12 -200ERs.

Firm orders include nine -300ERs and 20 -9Xs.
