**Breaking News!** Airbus A400M crash in Spain

Airbus Defence & Space A400M EC-403 (msn 023) operated by the manufacturer has crashed shortly after taking off from Seville Airport, Andalusia, Spain on May 9.

According to unconfirmed press reports the aircraft had reported to ATC that it had an unknown problem in the initial climb out after departure at 1130L on a test flight. It came down approximately one mile north of the airport a short time later and was destroyed by fire.

The aircraft, believed to be the third example for the Turkish Air Force, had seven crew on board, and it is understood three were killed, two seriously injured and the remaining two are missing.
