Sriwijaya Air takes delivery of two 737-900ERs

Sriwijaya Air has taken delivery of two Boeing 737-9LF(ER) aircraft - the first of the variant in its fleet.

The delivery comes after the Indonesian carrier placed the order for the two jets at the Paris air show in June.

"Today is a very important day for Sriwijaya Air, with the delivery of our first all-new airplanes," says the airline’s president Chandra Lie. "These new 737-900ERs allow us to remain a leader in the market with superior economics and the ability to provide our customers with a world-class cabin experience."

Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that the two aircraft bears the registration PK-CMO and PK-CMP. These aircraft will be put on sale-and-leaseback transactions with Aergo Capital. The carrier has 37 aircraft in its fleet, comprising the 737 Classics as well as the 737-800.
